The Franklin Half Dollar, issued from 1948 to 1963, featured Benjamin Franklin on the obverse and the Liberty Bell on the reverse. If the coin was struck in Philadelphia, it would not have a mint mark. If it was struck in Denver or San Francisco, the mint mark ("D" or "S") would appear above the bell on the reverse.
