The 1907-1933 Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle is a $20 gold coin designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens and minted by the U.S. Mint. The coin's design, featuring a figure of Lady Liberty striding forward on the obverse and a bald eagle in flight on the reverse, is widely considered one of the most beautiful U.S. coins ever minted. The mint mark, indicating the location where the coin was produced, is found on the obverse, above the date, between the sun's rays.
