The 1776-1976 Bicentennial Quarter is a special edition quarter issued to commemorate the United States' bicentennial. The mint mark, indicating where the coin was struck, can be found on the obverse (front) side of the coin. There are three possible mint marks: "D" for Denver, "S" for San Francisco, and no mint mark, indicating the coin was struck in Philadelphia.
